Can I choose the city I
want to go to?
Yes. We
have a large variety of accommodation all over the UK.
How
long will it take once I send in my request?
On the whole arrangements can be made very quickly. It can take just 2
or 3 days to arrange everything.
What type of accommodation is available?
All of our accommodation in in high quality host families. We also have
accommodation on farms. We have three categories available:
Standard:
Simple accommodation. Share bathroom with family.
Superior:
Better standard of accommodation in more
central areas.
Luxury:
Excellent accommodation, usually with private bathroom.
Do you organize any tours?
Yes we have three tours available:
Tour Go As You
Please: Is a tour you can personalize
yourself. Just let us know your itinerary and N°
of nights and we will book all your accommodation for you in advance and
provide you with tourist documentation, maps etc to help you organize a
perfect tour.
Pre-Organized Tour:
Organized tours in specific
regions. The regions available are: South West England; Wales; Cumbria &
the Lake Region.
Tour of North England:
Organized tour of North of
England lasting from 5-14 nights.
What nationalities do you accept on your program?
We accept all nationalities.
Do you organize travel arrangements?
We do not organize travel arrangements. We offer carefully screened
high quality accommodation in host families and offer a backup service once you are
abroad. You need to organize your own travel arrangements. On our main
Paying Guests page we have links to economical travel agents.
I need a visa to enter the
UK. Can you arrange this
for me?
We cannot make visa arrangements for you. You would have to do this
yourself.
We are two friends interested in
your paying guest program and would like to stay in the same host family.
Can this be arranged?
Yes we do have host families that have double rooms available so this
would not be a problem.
I would like to send my son who is 13 to study abroad. Can he stay in
one of your host families?
Unfortunately at this time we are unable to organize accommodation for
youngsters. You need to be 18 years of age to apply for our paying guest
program.
I am interested in your paying guest
accommodation but would also like to attend a language course. Can you
arrange this for me?
Our paying guest accommodation is exclusively accommodation and is not
combined to any language courses. We do have another program,
Language Courses, and this program combines excellent languages
courses with accommodation in host families worldwide.
I want to go to London and find a job whilst staying
in paying guest accommodation. Can you arrange this for me?
We cannot find work in the UK for participants of our Paying Guest Program. We do however have another program,
Positions Abroad
were we can organize placements in host families as an au-pair, mother's
help or nanny worldwide. However many participants of the program use the
host family accommodation as a starting point in the UK to go on to find a
job and long term accommodation.
Will there be other students staying in my host family whilst I am
there?
It is possible that other students will be staying in your host family
whilst you are there but we guarantee that no student of your same
nationality will be staying in your host family. In this way you get the
maximum language practice.
In what areas of London do you have accommodation?
Accommodation in London is available from zone 2 to zone 5.
