F134/10. Giarre, Near Catania, Sicily,  South Italy.  Long or short term positions. Mother's Help needed for family with 5 children, Gaia aged 13, Alice aged 7, Ignazio aged 6, Stefano aged 4 & Carola aged 4. All children go to school at get  home from school at 5.00pm Monday to Friday. They do  not go to school at weekends. Religion: R/C. Both parents have their own business. Other help kept: a housekeeper for 30 hours per week for all the housework. Requirements: Ability to Swim/Non-Smoker/Experience. Use of car and internet given. To start 1st Sept 2011 for 4, 6 or 12 months. Approx hrs of work: 6.50am-9.50am. 4.30pm-8.30pm. Total daily hrs: 7. Time off: 1 1/2 days including the evenings and another 4 evenings off per week. You are asked to babysit for 1 evening a week. (usually Friday night). Your day off would be between Monday and Thursday and your 1/2 day off will be between Monday and Friday. Salary: € 200.00 p/w, negotiable (around £174.00 p/w, at the current rate of exchange).  The family live in a 17th century villa which has been recently renovated with swimming pool immersed in nature. Accommodation: Large private bedroom with living room and private bathroom. Duties: In the morning give the children breakfast and help them get ready for school between 6.50am and 7.40am. After that clean and tidy the children's bedrooms (make the beds, tidy them up etc) and wash and iron the children's clothes till 9.50am. You are then free till 4.30pm. In the afternoon look after the children from 4.30pm to 8.30pm. Once you have completed your duties in the mornings you are free for all the time time the children are at school. At weekends you would work full-time (maximum 10 hours per day). You should be flexible (if for example the children are ill or are off school because of holidays).  During the summer holidays the hours will probably be modified but will never go over 55 hours per week. During the Christmas holidays you would go with the family to Selva  in Val Gardena in the mountains where the children are busy skiing with the ski school till 4.00pm. General childcare. Family' s interests: Cinema, ten nis, fishing, reading. The family go on holiday to the seaside and mountains. They have a dog, a small poodle.  Sicily has a fantastic client with very  long summers and mild winters. There are some lovely beaches and interesting things to see. The people are very friendly. This family has already had a candidate from us, a girl from  Australia who was very happy there and completed her contract.
