F058/11. Marsala, Nr Trapani, Sicily, South Italy. Short term position. Au-pair needed for family with 3 children, Luca aged 6 1/2, Chiara aged 4 and Andreas aged 1 1/2. Religion: R/C. Dad is an airline captain, mum is a lawyer. The family speak English, French and of course Italian. Requirements: Ability to Swim/Non-Smoker/Experience/English Mother Tongue/Willing to do Housework. Use of car and internet is given. To start 15th September 2011 for 3 months. Total daily hrs: 6. Time off: 1 day including the evening and another 3 evenings off per week. You are asked to babysit for a maximum of 3 evenings a week. Salary: € `100.00 p/w, negotiable (around £88.00 p/w, at the current rate of exchange). The family live in a new country house on 2 floors. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen and living room. Downstairs there are 1 bedroom, 1 studio, a kitchen and a very large living room and dining room. The family live in the upstairs part of the house. There is a large enclosed garden. The house is located 10kms north of Marsala on a ridge overlooking the sea with a beautiful view. The village, shops and public transport is within walking distance. Accommodation: own private bedroom and bathroom on the lower floor. Duties: The children will start their holidays and attention will be focused on setting their routine with sport activities, mostly swimming and playing. Dad, Marco will be away flying on varying schedules but will be mostly back home every other day, whilst mum, Luigia, works in Marsala only a few hours a week but will need free time at home to prepare her files. The children are learning to help keep the home nice and tidy and everybody helps in the daily routines. Marco already speaks English at home but one major duty of the au-pair will be to improve the language proficiency of the whole family. Time off and evenings off can be given to suit needs and interests accordingly. Family's interests: Focusing on the children, on learning and on activities. Marsala is a nice locality and is famous for the wine produced there. Sicily has a very host climate and very friendly people. There are lots of interesting places to visit and lovely sandy beaches. There are other girls working in the area.
