REQUIREMENTS: ABILITY TO SWIM/DRIVE/EXPERIENCE/WILLING TO DO HOUSEWORK. USE OF CAR AND INTERNET GIVEN. TO START 1ST OCTOBER 2012 FOR 6 OR 12 MONTHS. APPROX HRS OF WORK: 3.45PM-8.00PM. TOTAL DAILY HRS: 5. TIME OFF: ALL MORNINGS, WEEKENDS INCLUDING EVENINGS AND ANOTHER 3 EVENINGS OFF PER WEEK. YOU ARE ASKED TO BABYSIT FOR A MAXIMUM OF 2 EVENINGS A WEEK IF THE PARENTS GO OUT. SALARY: € 100.00 P/W. (AROUND £84.00 P/W, AT THE CURRENT RATE OF EXCHANGE) THE CHILDREN'S SCHOOL IS REACHED BY CAR. IT IS ABOUT 800 METERS ON FOOT AND 1/1 1/2KMS BY CAR. USUALLY YOU WILL ONLY BE ASKED TO PICK THE CHILDREN UP FROM SCHOOL. YOU WILL ONLY BE ASKED TO TAKE THE CHILDREN TO SCHOOL IF THE PARENTS CAN'T BECAUSE OF WORK (OCCASIONALLY).   THE CHILDREN START SCHOOL AT 9.00AM AND FINISH SCHOOL BETWEEN 3.45PM AND 4.00PM.  THE FAMILY LIVE IN AN APARTMENT IN THE CITY CENTRE COMPOSED OF KITCHEN, LIVING ROOM, 2 BATHROOMS, 3 BEDROOMS, 2 BALCONIES. OTHER HELP KEPT: AN OCCASIONAL CLEANER. ACCOMMODATION: PRIVATE BEDROOM WITH LARGE SINGLE BED, BEDSIDE TABLE, A PART OF THE WARDROBE. THE WARDROBE IS VERY LARGE AND HAS 10 DOORS SO PART OF IT IS USED TO STORE THE FAMILY'S BELONGINGS. THE ROOM HAS WIFI. DUTIES: LIGHT HOUSEWORK (HOOVERING, HANGING OUT THE WASHING, ETC). PICKING UP THE CHILDREN FROM SCHOOL, LOOKING AFTER THEM TILL THE PARENTS GET HOME FROM SCHOOL, WHEN NEEDED TAKING THE CHILDREN TO  LANGUAGE COURSES, TO THE GYM. FAMILY'S INTERESTS: TRAVEL. THE FAMILY GO ON HOLIDAY TO BRAZIL, ON CRUISES, TO EUROPEAN CAPITALS AND OTHER LOCATIONS.  THEY HAVE 3 SMALL GOLD FISH. GROSSETO IS A NICE TOWN IN TUSCANY. THERE ARE MANY INTERESTING PLACES TO VISIT IN THE AREA SAUCH AS PISA, FLORENCE, PERUGIA ETC. WE HAVE SENT THEM TWO AU-PAIRS FROM THE USA AND BOTH WERE VERY HAPPY THERE.

This is a wonderful family and I've been so fortunate to work for them.  They are very kind and gracious and have made me feel at home and part of the family.  It's been a great year.

The boys are sweet and love the park and the beach.  I've enjoyed being a part of their lives.  They are wonderful kids and I will really miss them.

Grosseto is a great city to live in.  It is central, and the train runs through it, which makes traveling Italy very easy.  It is also very close to some great beach towns and a beautiful natural park.

I've grown attached to this family and region of Italy.  Although I need to go back to America to stay with my grandmother right now, I would definitely come back and do this again.  It's been a wonderful experience.

The boys are adorable, sweet, and energetic. They are super nice and generally patient with language. They are curious about English and invaluable as Italian teachers. This was my first time as a live-in babysitter. This family has made my experience as an Au pair and living abroad a fabulous one! They are warm and loving; they always made me feel like part of the family. They treated me like a much older sister in the most endearing way. At the same time, they were very good about respecting me as an adult. It was the best of both worlds!

In addition, they are also extremely flexible. As long as you are willing to be flexible as well, it should be a good fit. I was able to travel and see numerous European countries due to their ability and readiness to accommodate three day weekends.
